01 / OUR PURPOSE
Independent thinking.
Shared standards
Founded in 2026 at an initiative of the Association of Lawyers of Russia and the Russian Arbitration Association, with the support of the BRICS legal community, the BRICS+ International Arbitration Academy was established in response to the evolving challenges facing cross-border dispute resolution.
Today, the effective functioning of international arbitration is increasingly affected by geopolitical tensions, sanctions, and attempts to use these instruments to restrict trade, create unequal conditions for market participants, and deprive parties of the right to a fair trial.
The BRICS+ Academy seeks to address the growing need for an independent, internationally oriented, and highly qualified arbitration community capable of ensuring the fair, impartial,
and professional resolution of international commercial disputes.
