Alexander Borgoyakov Held a Seminar at MGIMO on “Legal Regulation of International Hydrocarbon Trade”

On November 10, 2025, Alexander Borgoyakov, Partner in the Finance Practice at Asari Legal, delivered a seminar as an invited expert for first-year master's students of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) International Law Faculty.

As part of the course International Trade Law, Alexander shared practical insights on structuring energy export transactions. He spoke about the role of a lawyer, the nuances of negotiations, and the specifics of drafting hydrocarbon sale and purchase agreements. In particular, he demonstrated how the choice of an Incoterms delivery basis directly affects the operational provisions of a contract and price formation.

During the seminar, students actively engaged with the speaker, asked numerous questions, and expressed their appreciation for the valuable knowledge gained.
